BID Camborne is an ever-evolving project with one aim: To improve the BID area and transform Camborne into a better place to do business. The Final Proposal document outlines the three key themes that the project is based on: Theme 1 – Environment and Promotion, Theme 2 – Cost Savings, Theme 3 – Best for Business. BID Camborne will deliver projects on these themes over five years. In our first two years, Environment and Promotion has been prioritised and will continue to be a key theme in the third year as other themes are introduced. Year 1

April 2012 – March 2013

The main focus of BID Camborne’s first year was to improve the environment and promotion of Camborne. The perception of Camborne is none too flattering and in order for businesses to thrive in successive years, the aesthetics and perception of the town needed addressing as a priority in BID’s first year.


Year 2

April 2013 – March 2014

In year two we had two main focuses; Environment and Promotion along with Best for Business. As well as the continuation of the good work of year one, we were able to progress many objectives to the next level and begin processing new jobs.


Year 3

April 2014 – March 2015

As ever, Environment and Promotion are a strong focus.  This year saw BID introduce targeted street cleaning, set up a new graffiti removal contract and launch the #Choose Camborne Campaign, the first element of the new town branding work.


Year 4

April 2015 – March 2016

Through our Theme 2 Cost Savings project we have added lots of information to the Business Information section of this website.  56,000 copies of the Camborne Town Guide – Edition 3 are out across Cornwall now.
